MaleFocus Candles
Made in our own candle factory, with scents built for the garage, the truck and the end of a long day. The first release is in development.
Straight From the Factory
A lot of candles sold to men are the same stock candle with a darker label and a bigger price. We're a candle manufacturer with our own factory, so every MaleFocus candle is made by us, start to finish. We pick the wax, the wick and the fragrance, and every new fragrance is burn-tested in-house before we release it. No middleman means a good candle at an honest price.
The goal is simple: a candle that smells like it belongs in a working man's home and burns evenly from the first light to the last.
What Goes Into Every Candle
- Coconut soy wax from American-grown crops. No paraffin.
- Natural cotton wicks with no lead or zinc core, for a steady flame and less soot.
- Fragrance and essential oils that meet IFRA safety standards and California Prop 65 requirements.
- No parabens, phthalates or BPA in our fragrance oils.
- Never tested on animals. Burn-tested by us, on our own bench.
- Made in our own factory in California, so every candle ships fresh.
Candle Care and Safety
A good candle rewards a little attention. These habits apply to any container candle, ours or anyone else's, and they make a real difference in burn time and scent.
Make the first burn count
Wax has memory. On the first burn, let the melted pool reach the edge of the jar before you put it out. Plan on about one hour for every inch of jar width. Cut it short and the candle tends to tunnel down the middle every time after.
Every burn, every time
- Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before you light it. A long wick means a tall, smoky flame and a black ring on the glass.
- Keep the wick centered and the wax pool clean: no matches, no wick trimmings.
- Burn on a level, heat-safe surface, away from fans, vents and drafty windows.
- Give each burn 2 to 3 hours and stop by 4. After that the wick can mushroom and the jar gets hot.
- Don't move the jar while it's lit or until the wax has set again.
- Put it out with a snuffer or the lid, not a hard breath, to avoid smoke and splatter.
- Retire the candle when about 1/2 inch of wax is left in the bottom.
Safety first: never leave a burning candle in an empty room, keep it clear of anything that can catch fire, and keep it out of reach of kids and pets.
